Director & Producer Spencer T. Folmar's theatrical debut, "Generational Sins," has spurred a national debate surrounding the interplay of faith and film. The New York Post, The Los Angeles Times, FOX, The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, Washington Times, CBN, Christian Post, and more have all joined the conversation in about the film's release. In response, Folmar coined the term "Hard Faith" to describe this new genre of film, written for audiences who are hungry for hope in the midst of gritty real-life stories.
Folmar's career began at the ambitious age of 17 when he directed and produced his first feature film. He then continued to his undergraduate and post-graduate academic career. Folmar attended NYU for his MFA in film and received his Master's in Theology from Reformed Theological Seminary. His desire to combine these two passions is a driving force in his current slate of films. Folmar's goal is to "Shine light in the darkness by telling stories of hope."
In 2018, Folmar formed the non-profit Veritas Arts INC and started on another new endeavor of owning a historic theatre. Veritas Arts acquired the historic Guthrie Theatre in Grove City, Pennsylvania. Under the Veritas Arts name, Folmar also started a film festival in western PA. Veritas Arts mission is "Tell Stories That Liberate" and do so with education, distribution, financing, and developing feature films.
While planning another film, Folmar felt compelled to bring light to the overwhelming opioid epidemic ravaging America. When he visited his home in central Pennsylvania, and after hearing so many heartbreaking stories he felt the best way to bring attention in the media was through film. "Shooting Heroin" was then brought to life. A film about a small town taking justice into their own hands to stop the spread of drugs by whatever means possible. This movie began its theatrical tour in 2019 and is planning a wide release in the first quarter of 2020.- Actor

Stephen grew up in suburban Baltimore County, enjoying a normal childhood. He never had direct aspirations on becoming an actor but was always a fan of films. In 2004, Stephen was walking by an 'on location' set of the HBO series 'The Wire' and was asked if he was interested in working as an extra. He said "Sure." His picture was taken and he was called some six months later. Never working as a background artist, he was nervous, and thought it was a one time deal. Subsequently he was called back multiple times for season 3 & 4, to portray a coroner. In affect, Stephen grew into wanting more work. In 2005 he went to a general casting call for the now defunct ABC/Touchstone Series 'Commander In Chief.' Stephen met casting director Jeanne Boisineau, and thats where opportunities budded. About a week later he was called by Jeanne Boisineau and was asked if he was interested in becoming the Military Consultant for the funeral scenes of the Pilot of 'Commander In Chief.' Stephen heartily accepted. Through various phone conferences with Jeanne Boisineau, & James Spies (Producer) the task was in order. Cast & wardrobe 30 military men for the funeral scene. He was then asked if he would be interested in doing a supporting role, the 'Honor Guard Commander.' Stephen was humbled so early in his acting career. The shoot went as planned, and went off without a hitch. Stephen had made an impact, often running between the first and second unit, coordinating with Rod Lurie (Director & former US Army Officer)and often looking through the camera lense, making sure the picture was perfect. Stephen had learned alot and secured his first contract as an actor. Stephen credits his success to Jeanne Boisineau & Pat Moran.- Actor
